  • Re: "Lost" - Season 5: News & Sightings

I was just watching Tuesday night's episode of the David Letterman show and his first guest was Evangeline Lilly, who totally dissed Hawaii!!! She complained about the heat, complained about the humidity, complained about the ocean and surfing, and especially complained about the vog. She implied that it was always voggy on all the islands, and that everyone here gets sick all the time from the vog. Even Letterman seemed surprised at her constant slamming of Hawaii.
    Pfffbbbtttt.
    .
    .

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

      Two words.
      High maintenance.
      I didn't use the B-word.

The David Letterman show was the first time I have seen Evangeline Lilly on anything other than Lost. The next day I saw a comment by someone on twitter that she manages to be both grating and dull. After seeing her on Letterman, I have to say I agree with this assessment.

        • Lost filmed at Miki's in Pearl City

Nothing too exciting but saw the Lost production crew setting up at Miki's in Pearl City on Friday afternoon. They were turning the little "restaurant" into a taco stand for filming that night.

I took some pictures available at:

          • Lost and Ace of Cakes

Not strictly Lost news, but Ace of Cakes filmed in Hawaii on Thursday. They were here to make cakes for the Army and Lost. Lost even paid for the Ace of Cakes visit to Hawaii.

Pictures from the Ace of Cakes event (no Lost members were there):

Hey, that's really cool! Thanks for sharing! I love that show! How much
fun would that have been to be able to go to that event! Lucky you!

Yeah, it was pretty cool. Best part was the quickness of the event. The long line zipped along. The show started and in 30 minutes they were done. Like I said though, I didn't stick around to meet Duff and the others. I heard that line was about 2 hours long.

Did anybody get to take a look at the "secret" Lost set across a cemetery somewhere on Oahu? They were filming there very recently.

The return to Lost island in episode 6 of season 5 shows off the local landscape particularly well, waterfall, jungle... Almost like a touristic video (except for the "time flashes" of course).

Moumen El Hajji is caterer extraordinaire on Lost. Such a great guy and a great chef. His wife, Holly, an incredible chef in her own right, just posted photos of a few of the dishes the cast and crew get to feast on. Dang...<drool>!!!

You're totally right about the talent of the El Hajii's - they had that restaurant Beau Soleil that was just completely awesome! I miss that place.

I was coming into the parking lot at Town on Saturday and we made way
for a guy who was having difficulty maneuvering his green BMW as it's
not the easiest lot, he thankfully waved with a big smile and it was
Naveen Andrews. Seems I see him there quite a bit, that or Neiman's
                        shopping (well he is anyway!)

if you're talking about the one in the last episode - it looked like O`ahu Cemetery, on Nuuanu Street.

I saw all the trucks and equipment there back last year. I think it was late October or early November. It's the same cemetary where John Locke's father was "buried".
