    Re: Taylor Camp

No, no, they're not showing it again today!!

I was thisclose to going to Hawaii Theater, but the address I found on their website was wrong, and I couldn't find it on mapquest. So I called them for directions. Lucky I did, because they told me that the only showing was on Sunday, and not today.

      Re: Taylor Camp

I'm the Producer of TAYLOR CAMP and am very interested in KALIHIBOY'S 16mm footage. How can I get in touch with him? My email is jwehrheim@pacific-hydro.org. I live on Kauai (808 245-2617) but will be going to Maui soon to complete the final edit and could stop in town for a meeting.

      Aloha

        Re: Taylor Camp

Thank you sooo much for your effort at producing this documentary/movie.

I grew up mainly on Oahu and was only 15 in '77 when it was over.
So didn't get the chance to go, but knew of it and hoped to!

I filled out a comment card and put my contact info on it.
In the hopes of purchasing a DVD sometime.

I stayed for the questions and answer session afterwards.
        That was cool.

What's your plans for more people to see it?

        Thanks again John.

                Re: Taylor Camp

Aaaaahhhhhh......MEMORIES !!! Taylor Camp was the first stop on my Hawaiian Adventure. After finishing a house-sitting gig on Oahu in late fall '74, I joined two friends from da Mainland on Kauai and found myself on Haena Beach, camping and livin da kine life. On the occasion of The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, while sitting naked and free on a driftwood log facing THE most beautiful sunset over the ocean, with the full moon about to rise behind over the mountain, my soon to be husband sat down beside me, said "Aloha, want some? " and we began our lives together. There was lotsa delicious food and drink, a HUGE bonfire, plenty da kine,(and prolly a lotta other assorteds) We stayed there about two months before moving to Hana to continue the journey. People were very kind and generous, I am honored to have spent a little time there. What A Trip !!! I MUST get a copy of the movie on DVD......Gotta show my kids......hehehehe......

                  Right on WahineMicha!!!
That is so cool that you actually got to be there.
I grew up on Oahu and was just too young when it ended. I had my own 'hippie' experience living for two years in my '57 VW Van up & down Cali with my 1st wife and had fun. I probably wouldn't have left Hawaii if I made it to Taylor Camp though... HaHaHa!

                    Re: Taylor Camp

Did any one else make it yesterday?

My wife, a good friend, his girlfriend and I had a blast!
We went up to the cool garden on the fourth floor roof area of TAPA Financial Building first, then my camera stopped working, so more photos to come after Mike emails them to me. Met some great people at the Hawaii Theatre and enjoyed the movie. I even bought the DVD for $30.

I just got off the phone with a friend who saw Taylor Camp yesterday with 2 other friends...all filmmakers. All said it was terrific and I was told, in no uncertain terms, not to miss it next time!

The book's author canceled the Borders signing/showing for last week, I guess they figured that would kill off some of the crowd for the Bambu show.
