Then, there's that very suggestive song, PILLOW TALK, by the "other" SYLVIA (Robinson, nee Vanderpool), who was part of Mickey and Sylvia.

These were radio hits at one time or another in Hawaii, 1970s and 80s. Some are not all that forgotten:

Magic Woman Touch - The Hollies
Winners & Losers - Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds
Close Your Eyes - Edward Bear
Precious to Me - Phil Seymour (from Music Mike*)
Pretty Lady - Lighthouse (from Music Mike*)
White Lies Blues Eyes - Bullet (from Music Mike*)
Stop Wait & Listen - Circus (from Music Mike*)

        * Check out Music Mike's YouTube site for customized videos to many old hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. It's cool. You can watch/listen forever.

"Uncle" Norm Winter of Jelly's included COME RUN WITH ME and WALK CLOSE TO ME, both by Copper Nickel, on Volume 3 of his LONG LOST OLDIES series. I was at the Harbor Center (Aiea) store last week and it's still available. Really nice CD with many other hard-to-find hits.

"Happy Hawaii" was originally the B-side to ABBA's hit single, "Knowing Me Knowing You." Was released in 1977 and became a local hit on Hawaii radio for a while.

BTW, it's Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult off the Agents of Fortune album (1976). I'm sure that was just a typo. The track was covered in 2006 by The Caesars.

Oddly enough I purchased that song via iTunes over the weekend, as well the theme song from "Grease" and "Dancing Queen". Picked up "Kung Fu Fighting" a year ago when I needed the song for a chapter in 2007's NaNoWriMo (it was the fight song that was playing when some guys where fighting zombies).
