This cop duo show from Japan (subtitled on KIKU) is by far my favorite show on the tube. Thursday nights at 9, repeated on Fridays at 8.

Both men are delightful to watch and the stories are usually intelligent and very well done.

"Ukyo Sugishita" (the nerdy one) seems to be patterned after Peter Falk's COLUMBO character, able to recall small discrepancies which trip up the guilty. He is the "brains," while "Kaoru Kameyama" is the brawn. I likewise enjoy this series.

The new season (Partners 5) got off to a fine start last evening (repeated tonight), one of the most intelligent and interesting shows in a series which almost always is. Informative, amusing and saddening, all within one hour's time. (Or less ... the commercials are so annoying when a show is that good.)

This week's episode was one of the best. Much enjoyed it. Oddly, only seasons 1 and 3 are on DVD. Almost $50.

At last! The current three-part tale ended last night (repeated tonight). Whew ....

They should have just done it as a movie. Would have beaten almost every film I've seen this year so far.

The final hour really captured my full attention, too. Great stuff.

Unusual ... and amusing ... show this week. While trying to find a little boy's "best friend" (a hamster) they exposed a party crasher/pocket picker and foiled an attempted murder. Good going, guys.

Yes, definitely one of the most strange episodes in the series. I watched it again in the repeat. Alas, it's a multi-part one so I'll definitely watch next week.

    hi,i agree albert,the new episode's from partner's 6 is the best,more like when the first partner's started.

this is a good japanese detective show, use to be like hagure keiji who the actor has passed on about a year ago.

also he makoto fujita has a sis or a daughter living here.

    well thank's for your time

Partners this week was the best ever. I do hope I'll be able to find this season's programs on DVD.

    Just a wonderful show.
