Bah! As if there were any real drive-in restaurants left in Hawaii.

Rainbows Drive-In, Likelike Drive-In, Byron's Drive-In. All "drive-ins" by name only, at this point. No carhops going to every car and taking orders? No waitresses on rollerskates delivering food? Then they're just plain fast food restaurants.

Which is why they're now called Drive-Inns.

Maybe not such a good example - you'll get good scolding in this family if you try to wear slippah to church. To clarify, anything with a rubber or plastic strap on top ["da slippah"] is definitely OUT, but nice quality leather staps might pass.
