I was so proud of the teens who took it upon themselves to distribute all the slippers yesterday!

Indeed. That coast is green where it's never been green before! So much rain, so much damage. My heart bled for all the beach folks who had to endure 2 horrendous storms with only a piece of fabric surrounding them. Happy to hear that was an outreach tent at Maili Beach. And I bet your truck bearing gifts was a welcome sight for all. Thank you, Auntie.

      ETA:
Very, very cool, Mike. You have every right to be proud of Kauai's teens. Thank you for heading up the project on your island.

I am proud of them too.

Correction: All Slippahs were donated by all our sponsors. List is on on our website. RoyalHawaiianMovers did send you their own donations through The Slippah Project. Oahu Express Ltd. paid for all the shipping to the outer islands and the delivery to the Leeward Coast.

I prayed whether I should write about the following. Should I write on my blog or here. I decided to do it on HT.

Back in the truck we were talking story. Three Christian Women from three different churches. I mentioned P.K. was raised in Waianae. He loved the Leeward Coast. He also had a brother he didn't see for a long time. His brother was homeless by choice. We prayed. Sisters in Christ.

The Truck stopped a mere two minutes. All we heard was P.K.'s voice "Das my BROTHER!" We came running to the front and they were hugging each other tightly. That moment and time the three of us looked at each other and we knew why. The Power of PRAYER.

The Slippah Project is growing so fast. I've decided to have a committee. It is time. Mel is assisting me in filing for the 501C. I've decided to go on our own instead of being an under an umbrella.

          Mahalo,

btw: In the Hard Copy StarBulletin. In the "Wall Stree Journal Section" Lower right...get the "What's up in the MidWeek?" heheheh Go look.

Anxiously waiting for the news and pics.

Lisa from of Hilo called. The Slippahs arrived this morning!

When we started in November, I listed the recipients as follows:
"MWH, Kaahumanu, Kamehameha, KPT, Palolo, IHS, Waianae Shelter, Leeward Homeless and Kauai Public Housing and Homeless. If can, we'll add Barbers Point Shelter."

I never imagined we would accomplish what we've done!!! Over 5,000+ Slippahs!! Delivered to the Homeless on the beaches and parks. We delivered and partied at MWH. Many were picked up by Agencies as well as Public Housing Representatives. We shipped to Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. Yes, we covered Kona and Hilo too. Waianae, Waimanalo, Kailua, Wahiawa, Kakaako, Haleiwa, Halawa, KPT, Kalihi Valley, Palolo, and Barber's Point. W00T!!

Yes. Wishes and dreams do come true; you just gotta believe.

We're not finish yet. We still have a few more places I'd like to give to. If can ~ can. If no can ~ at least we tried.

                      Love and ALOHA,

Maui, Kauai and BI have received their Slippahs!

The other day on twitter, a friend of mine posted someone wanted to give $$$ to an agency for Christmas. I submitted my request. And The Slippah Project was selected last night. $500.00 from L. Taki.

With this donation, we will be able to cover moa feet.

                            Mahalo,
