Been driving my '86 El Camino since '96 (found it abandoned and restored the thing). It had 91k when we picked it up. 121.5k today.

Re: How many miles do you have on your car?
95k on my '95 car. I bought the car early '06 when it had 82k miles. Like Leo, the exorbitant gas prices didn't impact me a lot but, still, my gas bill was probably close to twice what it woulda been had the price not escalated.

Re: How many miles do you have on your car?
Keep in mind, my husband has a delivery business.......
163K - '97 Mountaineer
147K - '05 Saturn
135K - '96 Nissan Maxima
The Mountaineer was bought in '02 with 45K on it, the Saturn was bought new (nothing but problems with that one) and the Nissan was bought with 130K on it (My mother mostly drives this one - best in the bunch)
As you can imagine, the jump in gas prices almost put us in bankruptcy. Our only saving grace is that most of that gas is tax deductible.

Re: How many miles do you have on your car?
I bought a 95 Ford Ranger new and drove it until it had 340,000 miles on it. Never overhauled. No major mechanical issues. It was burning up a quart of oil every 3,000 miles, but running great. When I moved to Hawaii, I sold it to a friend.

'97 Totota RAV4: 148,000
2WD; stick shift; bought new & driven everywhere on the left coast- even driven up to Vancouver, Victoria & Calgary, Canada. Averaging right around 30 mpg. Too bad all new RAV4s are automatic and HUGE compared to my '97.Born in Hawaii, too - Truss me
