Re: How long have you been on HawaiiThreads?

    Whoa...
    Since March 24th, 2005
HawaiiThreads is the 3rd place I go online...
    After checking emails and Geocaching.com.
Getting near 4,000 posts and just recently moved into 10th place in the "Motor Mouths" category.

    Again whoa.
Life is either an adventure... or you're not doing it right!!!

Maybe it's a configuration option. Another vBulletin board memberlist has the following columns:
      User Name
      Join Date
      Posts
Last Visit (not displayed if member selected "invisible mode")
Gender (including responses like "undisclosed" or left blank)
State (drop-down list or free-form text like "undisclosed" or "confusion")
Retirement Year (drop-down list or free-form text)

Probably if it's a field in a user profile (which seems to have its own configuration options) then it could be displayed in a member list.

        I've been here almost a year--April 08.

        Loving it, too!

Re: How long have you been on HawaiiThreads?

I found HT the night dh and I accepted the offer to move to Hawaii (in August) and I joined shortly after we arrived in Sept '05.

I don't post a lot, but I do mooch a lot of info from here. Whenever I have a question, chances are I can do a search and find the answer.

We've had this discussion before, haven't we? IIRC in addition to our join date, we were able to find out the order in which we joined.

Someone else must remember. I've unsuccessfully searched.

That's just how it happened for me, too; hubby took a job in HNL and I came here for info for the move (July 2007,) and have participated and enjoyed HT ever since.

(He moved in Nov and we came in December--I like to be prepared.)

I joined in January 2008 right when we decided we were moving to Hawaii. Yeah, I jumped right in both feet first

I would have been 2 years younger then (when this 9/11 comes around), .

                          WOW !.

That's really great, & thank you for posting & then plus . I hope more of you post here to share to others, aswell.

It's not the number of posts, & how often you post, it's number of length of time you have been here :-).

The main thing is, that, we try to help each other out when we can by posting & replying when we can. :-)

At least, like everything else, you'll always have HT to come back, too .
(no matter where you are, & as long as you still have a computer to post at any point in in time) :-).

Hope to see more of you sharing :-).

                          Aloha. :-)

Mine was May 6, 2004. Three weeks after Mel and three weeks before ZZType!

I joined in June 2007, following a two week stay with my family in Hawaii. It had been my first time visiting. I had been entertaining the idea of moving here, although I honestly hadn't expected it to -actually- happen.

Re: How long have you been on HawaiiThreads?

I joined on October 4, 2005. Geez, the only reason I know that is by visiting my user profile. I joined because I stumbled on this site after doing a google search for “Ryan Ozawa.” Some of you know who that is, but for those who don’t, I won’t spoil your fun.

With this post, I am tied with alohabear for 23rd place on the Members’ list for most posts by an HT member. Currently at the top of that list, is my good friend Aunty Lynn (known on HT as “1stwahine”). Important to note is that she only achieved that ranking after the most prolific poster, Miulang, stopped posting. Haven’t seen Miulang for more than a year (anyone know what happened?).

Also interesting to note is the top three posters, 1stwahine, Miulang, and Tutusue, are all wahine. Guess when they coined the phrase “the birds and the bees” they meant mynah birds!

                                Just kidding!!!

(Sorry, I just can’t get enough of this joke!)
