That's a sweet photo, Lei. Are those pineapple plants she's standing in front of? That style of uke, with the oval body, is called a "pineapple".

I haven't shot too much lately, but here's a couple from the Big Isle.

    On the way to Kona.

I love the flame of this little candle.

      You've heard of elephant graveyards?
Well, I found a boat graveyard today!

At Keehi Small Boat Harbor. End near the Sand Island bridge.

Tini is a great little boat. I have lots of work to do, making it truly seaworthy though.
Went out this morning to the last Keehi channel marker to complete my State Harbor Inspection. I had a wonderful, peaceful time alone.

            Aquarius Restored

Taken at the State Capitol. The tent is gone; the restored art cost more than $1 million. Ouch! More photos
            I'm still here. Are you?

Haven't had time to take any regular pictures with my DSLR because of having a newborn in the house.

But I did have time to take this shot with my iPhone and messed around with this app called Piratize!

Its simple and pretty darn cute I must say!

Here are 2 pirates (wife and Kiki)

Great shots Menehune Man, Mel, Tat, and Asuhoru. Your baby pirate is superbad.

I went up to Alaska for the 4th to visit family. I'll post some of the pics over the next few days.

This first one is the Chugach Mountain Range just east of Anchorage. Rugged stuff that goes on forever. Props to the Alaska Airlines Jet. That window was primo for photos. There were some big forest fires up there, so there's some significant haze in the pic.

Right away we went down to Seward, on Resurrection Bay, for the 4th of July celebration and the Mount Marathon Race. We stayed in a little cabin so it was pretty easy going, but I slept on a hide-a-bed with one of my nephews and sleeping on that damn thing was truly "roughing it". We built a campfire which was great fun. Days were warm, but the evenings were cool. The warmth of the fire on your face felt great in contrast to the cool on your back. I'd forgotten how pleasureable a campfire is. It's very hypnotic. I'm anxious to do it again.

After the fire, the pulsing glow of the coals keeps you up a little longer before calling it a night. If you hold your hands up close to the monitor, you can feel the warmth. Go ahead. You know you want to.

I really like the 3rd pic Jim.

                    Beautiful.

Mel's Tanabe store pic would look great as a HDR eh? WOwz.

Love those fire shots. Can see many shapes within them.

                      Here's a top/living room shelf shot.
There's a dolphin within the Lava Lamp too!

And the smile in the last shot... priceless!

Taken in Kaaawa Valley recently. I love that place so much.

I have a piece of driftwood. It's in the lower, left hand corner of the "Lava Lamp" photo above.

But... check out what I noticed and zoomed in on here...

                            OMG!

Old now, but for the Fourth of July the firm has a roof top party for all the employees. One of the sitting areas, best view for the fireworks.
