Haven't posted in 3 forever's as I can't get out to shoot as I would like to, BUT, my awesome lady-friend, got me an awesome birthday present. Finally got a decent scanner, and can start on converting my LOADS of film to digital.

These are just a couple I have scanned. So far, I like the quality, but as I learn more about how to tweak the settings and what not, I am sure I can get cleaner results. While going through all my boatloads of film, I kind of miss shooting film, but still LOVE the instant gratification of digital.

The Seawalls are 30ft, when the tide is out, it goes WAY out, when it is in, and if there is a breeze, water laps over the top, and onto the promenade.

Blackpool Tower is Second only to the Eiffel Tower.

Awesome space shuttle / 747 photos... never to be seen by man again with this spacecraft/aircraft combination.... at least with Discovery. I read that Endaevour has a trip pending later this year to California.

The Honokaa High School Jazz Band is touring Oahu this weekend. I caught this performance at Ala Moana Center a few days ago. The youngsters are very talented musicians and singers. They cover a wide variety of artists and styles including Etta James, Miles Davis, Tito Puente and others.

And for those that don't know the whole complex will be closed a year from now.


Then working on installing an anchor windlass/roller system aboard Kolohe with Don!

WOW, that is sad to hear! Is it getting shut down to make way for even more hotels and stuff? Any ideas? I loved it as a little oasis in the middle of all the hubbub. Those gorgeous old banyan trees are just amazing too.
