I went, sat 13th row to the side. They played one encore which partly consisted of Joe Perry dueling against himself in Guitar Hero which I thought was clever. Joe even sang a tune, I hadn't heard him sing before.

One amusing thing happened earlier in the show when Steven Tyler was starting to tell a story about how "Walk This Way" had its origin at the Blaisdell Arena some years ago during a soundcheck I guess. Then the band starts to play "Livin' on the Edge", which Tyler was not ready to do, so when the song finished he resumed the story and they played "Walk This Way", not sure if it was a joke played on him or what. Good show, it was my first time I had seen them play live.

This is my 4th time seeing them play at the Blaisdell Arena. First in 76', second in 82', third in 88' and this last one. Here is a video I took.

Ah yes, the nap-time version of Sweet Emotion. I hope they kicked it up at some point. Got any more selections?

I think that was the extent of the story that "Walk This Way" had its origins during a soundcheck at the Blaisdell years ago. If anyone else attended can confirm, but that is what I thought Tyler said.

Marty Feldman in "Young Frankenstein" would utter "Walk this Way" during the movie and that is how the TITLE of the song came about.

And long before that, Monty Python had The Ministry Of Funny Walks.

Hawaii might be one of the last places that Aerosmith performed as a group:

I was fortunate to be one of those who saw Aerosmith perform for what might be the last time as a group.

Mixed messages, come on are you broke up or not? Sounds like Tyler wants to pursue a solo career which I dont think there is anything wrong with that. They should take a few years break, do solo stuff and then get back together again if they want to.

Perry now has a solo album he is trying to promote, I wouldnt be surprised if they found a new lead singer on Youtube like Neil Schon did with Journey.

Hard to believe but Hawaii might be the last place Michael Jackson and Aerosmith ever performed. Sort of an odd trivia question answer most on the mainland would never get.

Well I guess it's back on as Tyler reunited onstage with Perry last night so the rumors are put to sleep for now:
