    Default HI's universal healthcare

    Hawai`i has government-mandated 'universal' healthcare????

Do they mean 'employer-supplied healthcare' that directly or indirectly comes out of your pay?

Do unemployed, homeless street people receive free healthcare?
First I ever heard of it.

yes, homeless folks can and do receive free medical care. Medical students have been holding clinics for a few years now. and I often see an ambulance coming (or fire crew) to provide first aid to street people and often end up taking them to hospital for care. and homeless/unemployed people can apply for medicaid right along with their food stamps.

and there are some employers who don't charge their employees for their health insurance premiums.
