  • Unplanned meetings of HT'ers

Today while riding home by moped, on King near Kalaukaua...

I got asked Are you Menehune Man from HawaiiThreads? (due to the bumper sticker stating so)

He's a lurker... or so claimed. HaHa!

    Loved it!

How come when I was asked if I'm Walkoff Balk?
    I got the finger.
    But, my prostate was okay.

I was on the bus from Waikiki one evening and saw "Pupule Lucie", our member from Canada. I had recognized her from her many pictures that had been posted on here. When I said hello & introduced myself - she seemed completely freaked out. I was amazed at her reaction since I had asked her quietly and discretely - but she was very uncomfortable to have been recognized. Very strange.

If you're lurking & reading this Lucie - I sincerely apologize for startling you like that. That wasn't my intent at all - I was excited to see you and just wanted to say hello.

On Saturday 5/02/09 while working the main gate at the Bishop Museum...
Our very own 1st Wahine (aka Auntie Pupule) came in!
I was on the cellphone with my wife and even had them talk for a moment.

        It was good seeing you!!!

          Menehune Man,

Twas great to see you at the entrance too!

It was Military Appreciation Day at Bishop Museum. We went with my daughter and Kiana. Chicken skin. So much history in one place. Beautiful. One can feel the presence of nobleness in the mist. I live in Kalihi all my life and never really appreciated Bishop Museum until Saturday.

          Mahalo,
