FWIW, my "success" rate this year was just over 43%, as 10 of the 23 for which I voted won. Congratulations to ALL the winners and nominees for representing another fine year is the Hawai`i music industry.

I loved Kaumakaiwa's speech when he won Hawaiian Language Performance and his chant with his mom and tutu when he won Male Vocalist!

My mates came away empty handed but I'm so proud of them for being nominated.

My wife and I were again able to attend the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards as guests of Pali. Thus we were doubly thrilled when he and his hui took home several awards - Island Music Album, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year!

I kept my iPhone busy, tweeting winners as they were announced, posting photos, and even livestreaming videos (though you obviously got a better picture on KFVE!):

Yay, Pali. An awesome guy, and well deserved honors.
