    I tried to get up to the building above the LikeLike tunnels... Barred, chained, no ID,.
    The road was fenced at the entrance, and when we parked and tried to walk in the police only said it was "private state property" (isn't that an oxymoron?) off limits to those without a "VALID REASON TO BE THERE."

    Sounds pretty Draconian.

      I realize this thread has been dormant for nearly 2 and a half years, but it seemed more appropriate to bring up an old thread than start a new one about the same thing.

      Does anyone know anything about the houses on stilts and the collection of little islands out in the waters between the airport and Sand Island?

          Frankie is exactly right. Moauea Island is in the news quite often, ZFF, so feel free to Google it and you'll find a ton of information.
