Re: HT Meet up in Dublin

If the info given to Ryan is good, he could give it to the police and they can do a 'wellness check'.

All that would have to be done would be to have Betsy PM Ryan with the police phone number. Ryan calls, gives the police the contact info/address and then once the police make contact with Barry they can call or email Ryan with the results of the check.

Here's Ryan's admin profile if anyone wants to try that route:

      Has anyone checked Susie's cupboards?

Barry, where are ya? I'm saddened to hear that you and Kaonohi didn't connect - here's hoping you're okay, and will check in with us when you get back home early this week.

OMG! Could Barry really be in my cupboards? I'll never find him under all those flu preps...but at least he won't go hungry. Or thirsty. And he'll have fishmeds. And there's a toilet bucket and a thousand rolls of TP. And candles. And powdered eggs. And...

Just back from Dublin and there on my pad was Kaonohi's hotel. ie. the Bushwell's (not far from where I was) I left messages for him at my reception, sent him my mobile/cell number and gave him a full itinerary of places to visit. If only I could have remembered the name of the hotel but there are so many in that vicinity. Just had a P.M. from him letting me know what he's up to, (despite the weather over there.)

              Phew! You're alive!

              We were worried about you!

So it wasn't Susie's cupboard after all....

Ahem. If you had come in here you would have had all the information you'd have needed.

PS Your phone doesn't work, it shows 'temporarily out of service'.

I forgot to change the server when I went to Dublin. As for coming on here ! there was one PC for the whole hotel and there was always somebody on it. The result of this was the internet cafes were full up. I will try to catch up with Kaonohi when he arrives in London.

Oh, bummer! you came all the way to Dublin and we missed each other.
I looked for a message where you said what your hotel was (around the corner), but couldn't find one.

Irish wi-fi is hit and miss, and we can't get on all the time either.

Glad you are OK, and thanks for all the tips - except - EVERYTHING is WAY more expensive here than it is in Hawaii! (Socialist taxation!) 2 Euros for a bottle of coke?!?! $3.00 US!

Well the Guinness' is great. Much better than in Hon, maybe it's the atmosphere?

We don't have reservations in London yet, but will inform you when we get them.

Only two euros for a bottle of coke? We haven't seen those prices since the beginning of the euro.

I didn't expect any pictures from an event that never happened.

Only the meeting didn't happen...the Irish vacation did happen, so I'm hoping for a picture of a tall glass of Guinness, at the very least.

I stayed at the Grafton Capital hotel, Sefton Street Lower, Dublin, D2, Ireland.
There are so many hotels in that area of Stephen's Green and Trinity college that it was impossible to find Kaonohi. Nevertheless, I left messages for him at reception but we passed silently, like ships in the night.
As we were not far away from each other, he will bear out just how un predictable the weather was but still he managed to visit some of the places I'd put him on to.
Kaonohi is on his way to the Dingle peninsular which is a lovely part of Ireland. Then from there I will send him some hotels where he can stay in London. If he keeps still long enough ? then I may get to see him there but it's 250 miles from where I live.
