Ahem. If you had come in here you would have had all the information you'd have needed.

I forgot to change the server when I went to Dublin. As for coming on here ! there was one PC for the whole hotel and there was always somebody on it. The result of this was the internet cafes were full up. I will try to catch up with Kaonohi when he arrives in London.

Oh, bummer! you came all the way to Dublin and we missed each other.
I looked for a message where you said what your hotel was (around the corner), but couldn't find one.

Irish wi-fi is hit and miss, and we can't get on all the time either.

Glad you are OK, and thanks for all the tips - except - EVERYTHING is WAY more expensive here than it is in Hawaii! (Socialist taxation!) 2 Euros for a bottle of coke?!?! $3.00 US!

Well the Guinness' is great. Much better than in Hon, maybe it's the atmosphere?

We don't have reservations in London yet, but will inform you when we get them.

Only two euros for a bottle of coke? We haven't seen those prices since the beginning of the euro.

I didn't expect any pictures from an event that never happened.

Only the meeting didn't happen...the Irish vacation did happen, so I'm hoping for a picture of a tall glass of Guinness, at the very least.

I stayed at the Grafton Capital hotel, Sefton Street Lower, Dublin, D2, Ireland.
There are so many hotels in that area of Stephen's Green and Trinity college that it was impossible to find Kaonohi. Nevertheless, I left messages for him at reception but we passed silently, like ships in the night.
As we were not far away from each other, he will bear out just how un predictable the weather was but still he managed to visit some of the places I'd put him on to.
Kaonohi is on his way to the Dingle peninsular which is a lovely part of Ireland. Then from there I will send him some hotels where he can stay in London. If he keeps still long enough ? then I may get to see him there but it's 250 miles from where I live.

You will get them by the dozen, sweetness and light. Myfriends from Hawaii are going to have the feet walked off along the embankment. Thames on their right. Buckingham Palace. (Don't think the Queen will let us in for cucumber sarnies > she is weary of pinning medals on me. ha ha)
Not being a control freak ! No rout march but it will be a bit of a walk. Baker Street, Downing Street, The houses of parlialent, Big ben.
The national gallery and Picadilly. Then after a rest,,,, up to the tower of London > Tower Bridge.
I will suggest that we give the V&A a miss. It's a bit boring. A Joe Baxi (Taxi) back will be in order. Siesta and then a meal > we will take it from there.

ha - just remembered I was going to ask you to look up my "cousin" in Dublin while you were there! He is the keeper of all of our Clan records apparently.

If I had known ! We will be meeting up in London tomorrow 30th. After I have seen my doctor and got more blood pressure pills,,,, I will be on my way to London. Two and a half hours on the train and then half an hour in the taxi to the hotel. (I could go on the underground but don't like it.)

Take the Tube with them, it's something they don't have in Hawaii. Don't forget an Indian takeaway, a pub lunch, and fish and chips. Or cockles and jellied ells.

I met with a lovely family of Abassadors for Hawai. We only had a few days together but packed a lot into them They,re on their way home now but will be staying in San Fancisco for a day or so.
More info to follow when my photos are developed. Michechelle and Ed were accompanied by their son who is 15 yrs, 6ft 2 inches. What tremendous appetites they all have !

I couldn't miss them this time in London. They were in room 602 (one floor below me) I stayed in 776.
If anybody want to stay there at some time ? It's clean and not expensive:-

I had a nasty turn and blacked out but Kaonoki helped me up to my room. Within an hour I felt right again.
