    Re: Julie & Julia

In some of Meryl's scenes, I thought I was actually seeing Julia Child instead. She had the mannerisms, posture, sound all down pat. She was amazing.

      Re: Julie & Julia

Saw it a second time with another friend Saturday night at the Ward Theater, which is now playing in their smaller sized theater. It also made for louder laughter during the funny scenes like Julia's onion chopping scene.

As far as the two seperate story lines, could they have done it as two seperate movies? I suppose if they just did the Julia Child story line it would have worked by itself but they would have to add more stuff like before she got to France and/or during the time she had her cooking show on PBS.

For the Julie Powell storyline, the character herself tends to make references to Julia Childs' life a lot, I don't think there is enough unique material to make a two hour movie worth while.
