    OINK.
    There. Done.

    Or....

What was a pig doing at The Counter? Oh. You mean a pig-out at The Counter, not a pig out there.
"Pig-out" is a compound adjective and therefore hyphenated, not two separate words.

    Should I shut up now?

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

        Neglected-to-mention I also had a glass-of-wine with dinner...just enough of it to blur-my-concern about compound-adjectives!

Last night was spare ribs, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and birthday cake.

No, it was NOT my birthday, or any one in my family.

Years ago a family lived next door to us: a father with 4 sons and a daughter. The second oldest son was a bit slow - low initiative and a quick trigger point combined with a "the world is against me" attitude. His father was initially a mean drunk, but he got religion and straightened his life out - the wife preferred drugs to church, and left.

The newly-made dad was good and gentle, but firm with his kids, but they lost him when a city truck crossed the line on the corner at crouching lion and hit him head-on. The boy mentioned was the most affected, and he took his anger out on every inanimate object he could reach until we got him calmed down.

The mom moved back in, but the state took the younger kids from her. As this child legally became an adult he hung around her and started sinking into crime, gambling and drugs under his mother's influence. We opened our hearts to the boy and did our best to direct him into a productive life. Yesterday was his 22nd birthday. He has been living homelessly - going place to place - and we have been helping as we could. Last night he got birthday cake, care, concern and even a bed for a night! Next week he's going to interview for Job Corps in an attempt to get his life on track.

Pray for us, or send your good wishes; we need it.
