The only drawback for the new PS3 Slim is that it won't play PS2 games. It's not backwards compatible. Meanwhile Microsoft has indicated it will drop it's Xbox Elite to the same price as the new PS3 at $299.
Life is what you make of it...so please read the instructions carefully.
I agree. I had to laugh, though, at the reviewer’s pathetic attempt to stereotype gamers... “Blu-ray is a big aspect of what makes the PS3 appealing. But for gamers, is that a huge selling point?” Jeez, Adam! Does being a ‘gamer’ mean you are an unemployed fanatical gaming geek who never watches a movie?
We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans. — U.S. President Bill Clinton USA TODAY, page 2A 11 March 1993
Yeah, the PS3 [Slim] is edging out over the current XBOX 360 Elite (not only dropping the price to match the PS3, but also dropping the HDMI cable). And while the 360 has included a cordless headset, the PS3 has a built-in Wi-Fi for online connection. Sorry, but Wi-Fi wins over the headset.
Then, there's the Blu-Ray playback feature.
And the less chance of getting the Red Ring of Death.
Now if only Project Natal would work with Sony PS3.
Anyhoo... did the two Best Buy stores in Hawaii already put out the new 120GB Slim models for sale?
