RIP, Ellen Masaki

Saddened to hear of the passing of Ellen Masaki, piano teacher and coach extraordinaire.

Under Mrs. Masaki's tutelage, one of my cousins became an excellent pianist, performing with the Honolulu Youth Symphony (many years ago).

She was the absolute epitome of a complete music teacher, and did little else but what she loved until she physically could not.
