About 3,920 doses of swine flu vaccine for children have been distributed in Hawaii from four lots recalled voluntarily by the manufacturer, but safety is not an issue, emphasized state health spokeswoman Janice Okubo.

Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of France-based Sanofi-Aventis Group, distributed 800,000 pre-filled syringes across the nation last month, and most have already been used, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Sanofi Pasteur discovered the antigen content was lower than required potency levels in recent routine testing of one lot.

I've not felt secure in the safety of the swine flu vaccine from day one. And I do not believe that a massive recall is being done just over low "potency" levels. I for one am thankful that my family avoided the shots.

The H1N1 virus seems to be an upper respiratory illness. As such, a neti pot, discussed on this page (scroll 2/3 of the way down), could (no guarantee!) help with prevention.

Like others, I won't get the vaccine, mainly because I react so negatively to most meds. I'd rather take more natural precautions. I've not had a single virus since starting with my naturopath 3 years ago. That said, I've not been one who is plagued by a couple of virus' a year, either. I guess my immune system is still in good shape!

It will be interesting to see if the Hawaii State Legislature takes the lead of the Hawaii County Council. (For you mainland folks, it was the County of Hawaii (which is Hawaii Island) Council, that sent a resolution to the State Legislature (which is on the Island of Oahu, and the state wide legislative entity). The State Legislature overrides a County if push comes to shove.

If Swine Flu was as bad as they said, you'd think the World Health Organization Chief would have been vaccinated by now. Guess it's a "do as I say, not as I do" thing. Or, she knows something that most of us don't.

If Swine Flu was as bad as they said, you'd think the World Health Organization Chief would have been vaccinated by now. Guess it's a "do as I say, not as I do" thing. Or, she knows something that most of us don't.

Yesterday, I received a certificate identifying me as a priority candidate to receive the vaccination because I'm a so-called "essential" employee. This allows me to go in front of the line. Please!!! So, I guess I'm more important than Obama and Margaret Chan, cuz they haven't gotten theirs yet.

I'm more inclined to believe that any major threat of this nature that presents itself is the hidden work of some laboratory. With respect to any flu, I fear the vaccines even more.

Forum members have made fun of me taking colloidal silver, but I haven't gotten sick or turned blue yet. This was the first holiday season I didn't get a cold or flu. There is no pathogen that will mutate to be resistant to colloidal silver.

So for me... blessed if I don't.
