  • Chip Steak?

When I was young, we used to buy something called Chip Steak.
It was made into a sandwich.
Came in a box of 10(if I remember right).
It came with a white paper that you used to cook it.
    Heat up a frying pan.
Put one steak, with the paper attached, in the pan.
    Fry untill steak is brown.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
I made mine with mayo and cheese.
Can't seem to find it anymore.
Anyone else remember it and know where I can find some?????

We have something like that here we call it Viena Steak its ounds very much the same and comes in very thin slices like bacon. When it's fried I often fry some of our large mushrooms (not the button ones which have no flavour) Slice a bap and pop the lot in between the slices wih salt and pepper.
I feel certain you can get it over there.

You are absolutely correct ~ they do seem to be very much the same.

The beef version of spam I use it a lot. In addition to making sandwiches, I'll break it up into small pieces and use it like hamburger. Adds a great twist to hamburger helper.
