Whether you're a Doobie Brothers fan or not, you'll be saying Oh… My… GAWD!!! There’s 8 minutes of absolute magic at this link!
First Patrick Simmons and John McFee play about 2 minutes of "Slack Key Soquel Rag" (Patrick is a Maui resident and loves slack key so he wrote this song), then they and the band go right into "South City Midnight Lady."
If you don't LOVE this video, your license to ever again listen to any music at all will be permanently revoked..

And Bonnie doing "I Can't MakeYou Love me" is at this link. Wow!.

Re: So cool! Music makes the world go around.
Back in the 70s during my radio days I came across a song called "Luxury Liner" by Emmylou Harris with unbeliveably spectacular and wickedly fast guitar picking by the legendary Albert Lee. You can see them together at this link and you can see Albert doing it with his band Hogan's Heroes at this link.
And go to this link to see him play it even faster!
Eric Clapton, eat your heart out.Last edited by LikaNui; November 24, 2009, 01:00 PM. Reason: Added the third link, for which you WILL thank me. :-).

Albert Lee again, from the David Letterman show in 2001, doing "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" starring Earl Scruggs, and with Jerry Douglas, Glen Duncan, Vince Gill, Steve Martin (you know he rips on banjo, right?), Gary Scruggs, Randy Scruggs, Paul Shaffer, Harry Stinson and Marty Stuart. Here's the link..

Thanks, LL!
And hey, today is the 18th anniversary of the death of Freddie Mercury. So go to this link to hear him and Queen with the classic "Bohemian Rhapsody."
RIP, Freddie. There'll never be another one like you..

Good one, Linkmeister, though the audio level is a bit low.
And BTW, Eric Clapton is allegedly on record as saying that he feels Albert Lee is the greatest guitarist ever..

MUSIC IS.
Music helps us define our spaces.
Music helps us keep 'in tune' with the world's direction.
Music tells us who we were, and who we are.
How could we continue to BE without music to guide us?
Certainly I could not. Can you?
Perhaps you are a cutting edge musican, ready to show use us new worlds!
