  • I'm not here to make friends!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w536Alnon24

Apparently it's such a popular catch phrase, reality TV producers will coach contestants to say it. Usually the ones who do don't win. They're just set up to be the ones the audience loves to hate.

Listening to over 3 minutes of these same phrase repeated over and over reminds how much we are sheep in our thinking.

"You gotta get me to the tall corn." --David Mamet, Spartan

Holy cow, Puck. I have no clue, but I wouldn't be surprised. According to the reality TV fan who created the video, the first use was on Survivor.

Haha, naw. It was one of the ladies. His theory is the "I'm not here to make friends" people never end up winning.

There are some weird people in real life who goes on those reality shows. One chopped his ex-wife and stuffed her into a suitcase before killing himself. Another was a religious type guy who killed his ex-porn star girlfriend.

It's like a bug to a porch light...then ZAP!!! fool you it was a bug zapper! And they gotcha.

I hate reality shows. That's why I only love to watch the Discovery channel or the History Channel. If you're gonna watch TV you may as well learn something from it.

My guess is because we're social creatures. We're nosy and love to spy on each other, to know where we stand on the totem pole. :_)
