  • Where the Wild Things Are

Albert and I attended the morning showing of Where the Wild Things Are at the Ward Theater.

I felt that this is an average movie to see.

A strange, wonderful, touching film. I'm grateful to have seen it.

I'd read many glowing reviews about the movie and heard great things about it from friends who've seen it, so maybe I went in with too-high hopes. I didn't like it at all. I think I'm too far removed from the experience of childhood to appreciate it.

The critic on Showbiz Tonight recommended not taking young children, thought it would be too "scarey". I totally disagree, think children will understand this film far more than we old folks and won't be at all frightened by anything in it.

It's a sad day when a children's classic is too scary to see on the silver screen.

Surely is creating a fuss on the net, but was the weekend box office champ.
