    Re: Today At Work

Perhaps later, I'll tell tales about my workday today, but I'm too busy having a drink to get past it. And those who know me know I'm not much of a drinker - so that should tell you something about it.

Let's just say I hate working with technology that should have been buried in the yard several years ago, but continues to be in place because those with budgetary control seem to think it's cheaper to keep putting bandages on it than to replace it with something developed after the 1990s.

You seem to know a lot about Berkeley. What years did you attend?

            Re: Today At Work

Being unemployed at the moment, my workday was

            1) Get out of bed around 9:30am
            2) Drink a glass of water
            3) Search for jobs on the internet
            4) Crawl back into bed
            5) Drag my okole out again around noonish
            6) Start to actually do something around the house
            7) Pick up the kids from school
            8) Make dinner
            9) Kiss my wife when she comes home
            10) Take a bath and crawl back into bed

Tomorrow...Hmmm....Let's see maybe I'll rearrange that schedule a bit to make it more exciting eh?

              Re: Today At Work

We hung Christmas decorations around the office. I noticed some coworkers spend huge bucks on Christmas decor... me, I still have my 20 year old tinsel from Longs and dusty ornaments from Woolworth.

You ARE ancient! I remember Woolworths and Kresges well, when they were called "dime stores!" As a kid, I loved those stores.

My long post just got deleted. I guess that's just as well, since I had nothing nice to say about a coworker. At least I got to vent... I feel better now. Wish it was always this easy.

I got to hear a lady lovingly tell her nephew, "You spend all your money on them damn (name for garden tools), but you can't give me $xxx.xx to pay my bills? I swear on my father's grave I'll pay you back! Don't make me come after you with a shovel!" Then says to me, "Some people just aren't trustworthy. I ain't one of them, though, you know!" Sure...whatever you say, honey! I actually spit water out through my nose when I heard that!

Can't think of anything creative this time

I just realized something today. My coworkers (all women) don't gossip about celebrities. They will say they saw 'so and so' over the weekend or that they like a particular actor, but they don't rehash TMZ type trash talk. It's wonderful. Well, thanks for your time.
