    Happy Fabulous New Year!

To all my friends, adversaries and watchers on Hawai`i Threads.

It's already 2010 on most of the mainland; in less than 3 hours it will be next year here, as well.

Let's make it a GOOD one.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

I don't make resolutions because I never keep them. The usual, which is eat healthier, lose weight, etc, is a standard ongoing thing. What I really need to work on is being more proactive and productive. I'm lazy and tend to procrastinate... I need to get off my butt, get out, do things.

Oh, I know no one asked about resolutions... just talking to meself.

      Goooood moooorrrrning 2010!

What an awesome start to the new year, a beautiful morning.
Actually slept in today..., to 6am. Little sleep, but I feel great.
Celebrated by going to Chinatown for a pound of roast pork/death.
Should cover my meat grease need for the day...

No plans. Might go to Ka'a'awa and see friends, take more pix, whatevas.

      No resolutions = no regrets.

      What are YOU doing today?

Re: Happy New Year - 2010

No NY resolutions. If I want to change something about myself, I just start on it when the inspiration strikes, any time of year. (Like - starting to study yoga, about two months ago, in order to regain some of the flexibility, strength and stamina I had back when I was dancing hula or doing t'ai chi.)

The day begins quiet, sleeping past 10 am. AFK is making hash-browns and Portuguese sausage for a late breakfast. We'll be lazy part of the day, then if the rain lessens a bit in Seattle, we'll go for a nice long walk.

        HNY, y'all.

Re: Happy New Year - 2010

I'm working but will try to get to the beach for an hour or so this afternoon if the weather holds up. It's gorgeous right now. At least the beach survived last night's onslaught of atom bombs! Not sure about the mauka side of my building. There's a chance the island no longer exists!

            HNY!

Re: Happy New Year - 2010

Instead of making a laundry list, I've just decided this is going to be the Year of Surlygirly. Mentally, I'm where I need to be. I finally feel good about myself and who I am, and while I know I'm not perfect, I know the bits I need to work on and will continue to do so. My marriage is at the best it's ever been. My life isn't perfect, but after spending the last 6 years battling horrible depression, I think I'm finally over the hump. Now it's time to be able to deal with things normally for a change.

Can't think of anything creative this time

That attitude totally rocks, as the kids used to say. With that kind of thinking, you've already won 2010.
