Doll Tied To Car Grill?

I've seen this at least three times... Cars with dolls tied to their car grill or hanging from their license plate. And it's always an ugly doll... one was a troll doll, another looked like something from a horror movie, and the third was just a beat up ugly doll. I usually see it at the last minute, so I don't remember what kind of car, and I don't get a look at the driver. Does this mean anything?

Doll graffiti? I never woulda guessed. So, maybe the driver doesn't even know it's there? It actually looks scary.

Haven't seen any yarn bombing.

Could be a bunch of friends trying to weird out people and not a new street art movement...tho that'd be kinda cool to start seeing dead dollys on grilles.
