NBC hyped Parenthood throughout the Olympics. I'm disappointed, find it rather boring television.

Interesting when I saw clips of Parenthood and the tie in of Ron Howard I thought, they making a 2nd attempt?
There was a TV Spinoff that followed after the success of the theatrical run of Parenthood that used the same exact character names. The cast consisted of (folks that I know off hand) Ed Begley Jr., David Arquette, Leonardo DiCaprio & Thora Birch. The 1990 version of Parenthood did not last that long.
As for the 2010 Parenthood...According to IMDB the new one is a spin off of the 1990 TV show. Clips that I saw reminded me of The Shows currently on ABC's Comedy Wednesday.Comment
