Yes. And we know that governments are in the "business" of creating a crisis for profit and gain.

FWIW, I'm glad Obama could do what the Republicans couldn't do: start drilling for our own oil ... offshore.

Here's something else that slip through while we were distracted with the Health Care Bill-
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...ith-health-ca/

What does this have to do with our freedoms being ripped away? Imagine the government being able to decide who goes to which school, who get's a loan, who doesn't. If you're related to Senator so-and-so, or you donated to so-and-so's campaign, then sure, here's your loan. Go to Harvard and have a ball. Or, "Sorry, I know you got an A average, but it says here that you're a Christian. We're not loaning money to you radicals". Next!!!

Are you getting pissed yet? If not, you should be.

There is an interesting article in this week's issue of Newsweek Magazine, pg. 23 entitled "Socialism, Chicago Style" written by Howard Fineman. Yes, I know that Newsweek is a "liberal, leftie, pinko rag" but it does have some interesting articles.

We're not a cancer. We're a virus. I need the code, Morpheus! What's the code? I need to get out of here from this place. It's the smell.

We are all one of them for as long as the government invades our private lives with public subsidies and intervention and the rules one must abide by once signing a pact with the dev...I mean social services.

Well, when you think about it, environmentalists make for good practicing socialists.

Would you sponsor me in joining the RRC?

    A few interesting news clips-

Democrat Illinois Representative Phil Hare- "I don't worry about the Constitution"!
    http://biggovernment.com/publius/201...=Google+Reader

Washington Post report on citizens angry about Health Care Bill worried about direction of this country-
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...ail/components

Doctor fights back- Tells Obama supporter patients "Go elsewhere for health care".
    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...,5593120.story

Government demonizing Health Bill opponents. Video evidence no one purposely spit on politician or call him the "N" word-
    http://www.infowars.com/video-proves...t-spit-on-dem/

Top Democrat Senator admits "Un-American Health Bill was to address mal-distribution of income"-
    http://biggovernment.com/kolson/2010...ion-of-income/

I challenge the Honolulu Advertiser and T.V. news broadcasts to present the other side of the story like they're supposed to.

I'm sorry for quoting everybody and antagonizing them in the process. I didn't know you're not supposed to use that function.

For every person who needs open-heart surgery or chemotherapy, there have to be a certain number of other people who are paying their premiums but haven’t gotten seriously ill. If the insurance company has gotten its calculations right, the expenses for any one person’s catastrophic care are balanced out by the premiums other people pay “just in case.”
You can see how Obama’s demands undermine this whole system. To ask insurance companies to cover a patient after the tumor is diagnosed is to ask them to take on a known expense. Combine that with another Obama demand: that insurance companies can’t charge higher rates for those who are at higher risk of getting sick. So if insurance companies have to take on a known expense and can’t charge a higher rate for it, how are they going to pay for it? By raising everyone else’s rates, redistributing their wealth to the new freeloaders.
This isn’t insurance, it’s welfare. And that’s the whole point.
This post is the first I've seen in this thread that cuts to the heart of the issue.

Obamacare should be looked at objectively and not through the lens of a Dem or GOP perspective.

The healthcare system in our country is not working well as too much of our healhcare dollars do not go towards direct patient care or effective patient care.

No where does Obamacare address tort reform which is a huge drag on the system.
