That you're referring to Perez as being in the "entertainment business" in the context of this discussion,.... well, whatever you say. I don't think the seriousness of Hilton's actions can be minimized.

And you do realize that 'Alaska Nebraska' has bodyguards and security that could easily have prevented any photog from being able to get such an, emmmm.....personal shot of her. Bottom line - she and her people almost certainly allowed this to happen. I think your anger and disgust are misdirected.

Distributing child porn is reprehensible, photo-shopped or not, IMNSHO, but we also gotta realize these minors don't think they are minors - despite the laws - and often put themselves in compromising positions.

He may not have taken the photo. However, he provided a link that led to the incriminating photo. That is against the law.

As I already stated to LN, minors can't consent to allow themselves to be exploited pornographically. So emphatically repeating the claim that "Miley wanted this" doesn't change the fact that Hilton broke the law, even if it was true.

I've always thought PH was a disgusting pig. I think he crossed a line, but I also think it was a set up. While she's a minor and may not be able to make those decisions, her adult handlers can...and they are also the ones who would have to arrange for access to her at that particular moment. But Scum-Bag shouldn't have picked it up and ran with it as she is a minor. For once (FOR ONCE), he could have taken the higher road. But of course he didn't.

I DVR'd David Letterman's show last Thursday night because one of his guests was Miley Cyrus. Usually if she's on the tube I'll switch the channel, but after this thread I figured I'd see where she's at these days.
And where she's at was doing some song from her new "Can't Be Tamed" album, complete with lots of her bump-and-grind dancing and a few instances of her Michael Jackson-like crotch grabbing.
If she was my daughter she'd be grounded until she turned 40.

One positive from this whole sordid affair. At least the discussion has dispelled some myths and misperceptions that people were apparently holding, up until now.

1) Minors can't legally consent to pornographically exposing themselves, anymore than they can to having sexual relations. An adult involved in either crime can't use, "But the kid said it was okay to do it" as an excuse.

2) It is illegal to distribute kiddie porn, even if one did not take the picture.

3) Distributing child porn that was "created" through photoshop or any other type of editing process is still illegal.

The “respected” news service released an image of 17-year-old Miley Cyrus’ uncovered crotch (that again?) yesterday, taken during her performance at the Much Music Awards in Toronto Sunday night.

Of course, people are blaming Miley. Miss “Pole Dance at the Teen Choice Awards” wore the skimpy outfit, right? She’s the one who “Can’t Be Tamed,” according to her new CD. But she’s also a 17-year-old dressed in what is pretty much a leotard.

Professional photographers shooting 100 photos a minute are going to get some indecent shots. So let the Beavis and Buttheads with middle school mentalities at Reuters’ photo desk get a sleazy chuckle out of the photo. Then trash it.

Yes, Miley Cyrus is pushing the sexual envelope these days and probably not making the best decisions, attire-wise.

But she’s still a kid.

That's pretty much what I was trying to say, what Lauren Beckham Falcone did. I wish he'd just go away, but I know that would never happen. I especially hate how he feels the need to decorate the pictures on his site with the little white drippings. So necessary and disgusting.
