    If you've passed the former KGMB building on Kapi`olani in the last couple of days, you'll see that the owners have turned the parking lot into a paid-parking operation (low monthly rates! proclaims the banner on the outside corner of the builiding where the KGMB radio studios were long ago).
    There are also ads running on KGMB TV (maybe elsewhere as well) offering retail space in "The Shops on Kapi`olani" or something like that.
    Looks like there are no immediate plans for major redevelopment - although I'm sure that the site will one day be a high-rise residential, maybe mixed use, building.
    As a former occupant of the building, I'd rather they had torn it down than let it become derelict . . .

    Not long before the merger was announced, some friends and I got a great tour of the KGMB building. Here's the photo set:

      I know someone who thought about using the facility for an industrial type plant. Not now. But recently.
