I'm not a TV watcher, but I bet there's no way the show can reach the vivid imagery (and character development) of the books.
Tess Gerritsen came to police procedurals and murder mysteries through Harlequin romances. Sort of a mix of "CSI" and "Desperate Housewives" with gallons of leftover blood from "ER"...

The season finale aired tonight, even through it was a short season, it was kind of strange that a Jane and Frankie have another brother that only now they talk about.

Seeing promos on TNT that a new season of Rizzoli and Isles will start on July 11, 2011.

New season of this series started tonight, things shown:
1) How Jane and Maura meet.
2) Maura's dad (who is a gangster) faked her death as a baby so that her mom wouldn't find her.
