I'm showing my age, but George Blanda was one of my favorites. I grew up watching the AFL in its infancy, and later when it merged into the NFL, and those players, for me, were unforgettable. George Blanda, that Ageless Wonder, was at the head of the pack. He was simply one-of-a-kind.

He was great. He played during the days of Daryle Lamonica before and after. as a quarterback, and finished as a place kicker with Ken Stabler, under head coach John Madden. He even played QB when already a grandfather. No one older has actively played in the NFL than George Blanda. My hat off to him!
