    It could never happen here. Except for the flood waters in Nebraska that have knocked out the power for the cooling pumps at a nuke plant there, but there is nothing to worry about, everything is under control. That song keeps repeating in my brain, I just can't seem to remember the title...

        An excellent choice! There is a book by that name, I read it in the weeks after 3 Mile Island, the incident happened because engineers attached an extra safety barrier, it worked loose and blocked a cooling tube, leading the reactor to almost take out Detroit.

          It's one of those U.S. nuclear accidents that's not well-known, because Fermi 1 was a breeder reactor, there were no deaths, and no radiation release. But it had the potential to be ... shall we just say, much more famous.
