Web page background question

Suppose I want to create a solid color image file to use as a background color for a web page. Can I create an img file that's a solid color (hex #cc6600) using Paint?

If so, how? Anybody know?

Yes, I can define the background, but if I do (this is in Word Press) I have to build a style sheet from scratch. If I can create an image file that's the color I want, I can upload it and use that as background.

Ha! I did it! I went to a color code site, keyed in the hex number I wanted, got the sample page, saved that image, and then uploaded it to WP.
