His family is turning off his life-support. "Doctors advised the family that Jeff has had no brain function since he was brought into the hospital."

It's going to be sad to watch if the network shows the repeats of Celebrity Rehab with him in it.

            Sad.

When the show Taxi first started out, Conaway came in as the actor with the highest profile, thanks to his role as John Travolta's best friend in Grease. But after the show ended, it seemed like Conaway's post-Taxi career was among the least successful out of the entire starring cast. Danny DeVito and Christopher Lloyd had big success in the movies. Tony Danza, Judd Hirsch, and Marilu Henner found starring roles in successful TV sitcoms. Heck, even Rhea Perlman achieved more than a fair bit of fame as a regular on Cheers.

Conaway? Aside from a recurring role in Babylon 5 and appearances on Celebrity Rehab, Conaway's post-Taxi career has been a largely forgettable series of bit-roles on TV or direct-to-video movies. He never achieved the big-time success that was expected of him.

I read the Taxi Wikipedia page and there was a regular cast member who only was there for the first year and the actor's name is Randall Carver.
