    Hawai`i has government-mandated 'universal' healthcare????

    Do they mean 'employer-supplied healthcare' that directly or indirectly comes out of your pay?

    Do unemployed, homeless street people receive free healthcare?

      yes, homeless folks can and do receive free medical care. Medical students have been holding clinics for a few years now. and I often see an ambulance coming (or fire crew) to provide first aid to street people and often end up taking them to hospital for care. and homeless/unemployed people can apply for medicaid right along with their food stamps.

      and there are some employers who don't charge their employees for their health insurance premiums.
