  • Another TSA goof (and airline, too)

    http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/b...124785939.html

A Nigerian man boarded a Virgin America airplane last week with an invalid boarding pass — making it through a federal security checkpoint where travelers must show identification and their boarding passes.
After the man, Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi, got through security, the airline let him onto the plane even though his boarding pass was for a flight the day before, according to the FBI.
Mid-flight from New York to Los Angeles, a flight attendant noticed Noibi was sitting in a seat that was supposed to be vacant. Noibi showed the attendant the expired boarding pass that was in someone else’s name, and then showed him a University of Michigan identification card with his picture on it.
University of Michigan spokeswoman Kelly Cunningham said that Noibi is not a current student, but was enrolled as an engineering student at the Ann Arbor university between 2004 and 2006.
Expired boarding pass (from the day before).
Boarding pass was in another person's name.
School ID (with a different name than the boarding pass) is from 2004-6, and not even a driver's license, state/country ID, nor passport.

What the heck happened here with the supposed TSA "screening checkpoint"?? And with the airline gate attendant(s), who take the tickets upon boarding?
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.

This would be funny if it wasn't scary that it happened.

I guess this policy will save time where you can spend sitting in the waiting room.

My bad. That's only a partial post. It should have read our best and the brightest because there hasn't been a major incident.
So, Don't forget to tip your TSA workers.

                              http://www.latimes.com/nation/nation...414-story.html

                              OH MY!

Two Transportation Security Administration agents who worked at Denver International Airport have been fired over a scheme that involved manipulating screening equipment so one of them could grope passengers he found attractive, according to the Denver Police Department.
The female agent would falsely tell the scanning machine that the traveler was a woman, so the system would indicate an abnormality in the traveler's groin area and allow the male agent to perform a pat-down search, according to the report.

During the pat-down, the male agent would touch the "passenger's front groin and buttocks area with the palms of his hands, which is contradictory to TSA searching policy," the report said.
                              Tag Team Groping ....what next?
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.
