I make my own version of a thicker sauce by adding corn starch and then heating it. You can also add other ingredients, such as sugar and ginger powder, to make a good stir-fry sauce that way.
Hints:
*Dilute the corn starch in water, making a runny paste, before adding it to the batch (to prevent the corn starch from clumping).
*Heat slowly, and stir it as it heats, to prevent it from becoming gumpy. Don't let it boil or it will become bitter.
*If you are making a stir fry sauce, you might need to add water or it can be too strong tasting.
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.
I think I got my jar of thick soy sauce from Foodland, but not positive. It's distributed by the Wing Coffee Co. The ingredients are: molasses, cane sugar, soy bean & salt.
