Early problems on defense, special teams and a key turnover were the difference in Hawai‘i losing 40-32 to a fired up Husky team. Darius Bright showed some early rust dropping a couple of easy balls for significant yardage. The Warriors’ biggest play came off a 99-yard interception by UH safety Richard Torres. As I said in a previous thread, the UH offense has got to get their passing attack in order if they want to get back on the winning track. The Colorado game listed it as a question mark. This loss punctuates confirmation it is a significant problem to be addressed. Clearly, miscommunication and misreads was the story all day. Unfortunately, this loss eliminates any chance for a big bowl invite, but UH can still do better than last season by winning the Hawai‘i Bowl this year. As it stands UH has the talent to win the WAC, but with its current membership, what does that prove?
