Hank Williams Jr.'s high-profile association with pro football is about to come to an end, after his appearance on this morning's Fox and Friends news show.
The response was swift. ESPN yanked Hank's "Are You Ready For Some Football" intro from tonight's telecast. This, after some 20 years of performing various versions of the same theme song for Monday Night Football.
In addition to MNF, the country music legend has also performed at numerous Super Bowl festivities. No doubt that will also be coming to an end. I would be most surprised if the NFL doesn't follow suit with ESPN in disassociating itself with Williams.
Williams was being interviewed via telecast when he was asked what he thought about President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner playing golf together recently.
Williams responded: "That'd be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu."
The befuddled hosts then listened as Williams went on to discussed the polarized electorate and Obama's role in it, saying: "They're the enemy!"
A host asked: "Who's the enemy?"
Williams then went on to say: "Are you kiddin? Obama! Biden! The three stooges!"
