So that explains what happened to the missing Mike Buck when I happened upon the channel a day or so ago....

There's gonna be a big void in local afternoon talk programming now on Oahu. Maybe Mike Buck can go back to KGU.

I just heard about this a few days ago. I don't know what to say, since these guys are my old colleagues when I worked there in the promo department. I really do hope the best for everyone laid off from this overhaul. It's really tough.

Re: Layoffs at Clear Channel Radio Stations

In the talk radio space it would seem like the local afternoon drive show that featured Mike Buck will probably be taken over by nationally syndicated programming.

Goldberg said local stations are being asked to select syndicated or other programs produced elsewhere to replace their local programs. In many cases, the stations would not have been able to afford such programming without the help of the parent company, she said.

Rick Hamada announced this morning that his 5 - 9 am slot is being moved to 6 - 10 am M-F with Brock Whaley producing. Whaley was doing the afternoon show this past week after Mike Buck was let go.

I've been checking the KHVH website to see if there are line-up changes posted but so far not.

            MONDAY-FRIDAY

            12AM-5AM
            Coast to Coast

            5AM-9AM
            Rick Hamada

            9AM-12PM
            Rush Limbaugh

            12PM-3PM
            Sean Hannity

            3PM-7PM
            Mike Buck

            7PM-12AM
            Coast to Coast
We'll see if this changes by next Monday.

Checking into the other CC station websites still brings up DJ line-ups from before the layoffs...though this can change depending on when you check.

I wonder why Rick's show was moved up an hour?

Re: Layoffs at Clear Channel Radio Stations

KHVH posted their new M-F schedule. Except for Rick Hamada, it's all syndicated.

                  12AM-6AM
                  Coast to Coast

                  6AM-10AM
                  The Rick Hamada Program

                  10AM-1PM
                  Rush Limbaugh

                  1PM-4PM
                  Sean Hannity

                  4PM-7PM
                  The Glenn Beck Program

                  7PM-12AM
                  Coast to Coast
Beck aired previously on KIKI AM 990. That station's all syndicated line-up has been revised.

Anyone have updates for CC's music stations?

                    Coast to Coast 12am-6am
                    Coast to Coast 7pm- 12am

11 hours a day ... no doubt including a repeat .... guess that saves on paying for hired help.
