  • The Villain

Was discussing the October 27, 2011 episode of The Big Bang Theory with a co-worker saying that Sheldon's failed antics of scaring his friends was sort of like of Sheldon being Wile E. Coyote. The co-worker mentioned a kind of old movie called The Villain, where the Villain character played by Kirk Douglas also engages in failed antics that causes him to be like Wile E. Coyote.

Another friend did mention this movie in the past that suggest it has a cartoon like humor to it.

Did pick up the DVD of this movie at Barnes & Noble tonight. Haven't watched it yet.

Just finished watching this movie. This movie is kind of silly, the characters are kind of dense, and not much of plot. The humor is on the slapstick side and the physics get thrown out of the movie. At least the language is clean and the Villain's horse seems to be the smartess character in the movie.

Overall the movie is about the Villain named Cactus Jack Slade played by Kirk Douglas who is payed by a crooked banker to stop a pair of people from getting somewhere with some money. Cactus Jack is doing all sort of things to stop the pair which fails to no end and sort of makes him being the Wile E. Coyote character in this movie.

For example on his first attempt to stop the pair he tells his horse named Whiskey the plan he has in mind. He remarks and demostrates that he will fire his gun three times in the air to stop the wagon that pair is riding on and then he says he will fire more three shots into the male of the pair named Handsome Stranger which is played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

When the wagon comes Cactus Jack moves in front of the wagon and shoots his gun but since he hasn't reloaded his six shooter the gun doesn't shoot anything and Cactus Jack is runned over by the wagon, such that for a while is being dragged by the wagon.

Also starring Ann Margaret,it's one of the first Ahnold flix. That's why he doesn't talk much. Funny stuff and brave for someone like Kirk at that point in his career.
