I don't follow football at all, but based on the quotes above, I suspect the other coaches weren't flexible enough and showing signs of push-back, the old "this is our style". Tuioti sounds open to the new plan.

Coaches know they have to be flexable/open to the new honcho if they want to stay. I can't imagine anyone being stupid to dig in their heels, but it'll probably all come out in the wash. I always have high hopes for the newest season.
