Re: Digital media streaming set-top devices

I'm not trying to get people to go buy the XBOX now. But give it another look come October when MS revamps their whole ecosystem, including the XBOX. I'm willing to bet that their Gold fees will be gone or at least changed.

There is a connection between Xandros and the current windows 8.

A while back Asus came out with the very cool netbooks. Tiny yet functional.
      They ran Xandros 4.5 .

The native desktop was a pattern of tiles.
At the time Xandros 4.5 was one of the few nix os's that could write to NTFS.

I was digging around the intertubes and saw that a few types of wireless dongles
will connect with some of the Western Digital devices for wireless .

The original device has ethernet but no wifi..

There are two usb sockets on the gadget and a few brands of usb wirelees will connect automatically
        to a wireless network.

Still researching this matter and will relay answer upon solution.
