Not one to let a carcass go unravaged when there's a buck to be pecked out, SONY's vulturistic thought process takes advantage of it's customers and Whitney before she's even out of the morgue http://www.nme.com/news/whitney-houston/61998

Re: Sony hikes Whitney's prices
Didn't Sony already claim that the jacked-up prices were due to some kind of computer error or some other lame reason?
And if it was intentional, who could blame them? The singer was reportedly in over her head in debt to her record label, the IRS, and other creditors. And just to reiterate what I said in another thread, Whitney was not a songwriter and did not own the publishing rights to any of her hit songs. So her estate will not be able to pay off those debts with writer and publisher royalties.
When Whitney was accepting advances from her label, she was probably planning to pay it back with concert tour earnings. Obviously, that can no longer happen. This post may contain an opinion that may conflict with your opinion. Do not take it personal. Polite discussion of difference of opinion is welcome.

Re: Sony hikes Whitney's prices
I'm reminded of this line from McLachlan's "Angel":
So tired of the straight line,
And everywhere you turn,
There's vultures and thieves at your back.
Wherever the money runs deep, the sharks prowl."By concealing your desires, you may trick people into being cruel about the wrong thing." --Steven Aylett, Fain the Sorcerer
"You gotta get me to the tall corn." --David Mamet, Spartan
"Amateurs talk technology, professionals talk conditions." --(unknown)
