I am saddened to hear of the passing of singer Donna Summer. She was the "Queen of Disco" and her music helped define the era.

Disco sux, but Donna graciously extended herself well beyond the genre she headed and the negatives many felt for it. You couldn't help but like her.

Crap on her material, if you want. But there's no disputing that the lady could sing.

The NY Yankees paid a simple but elegant tribute, playing a recording of Donna singing God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch of tonight's game. Priceless.

The dance will get one exercising, whether it be the twist or the shimmy shimmy shake.
Another voice is stilled and we are all less for that.
