  • NYC stock exchange under 3 foot water

The incredible is unfolding before our eyes.

The New York Times has a working webcam.

The large Federal Gold Reserve is just a few blocks away.

One would guess that popo in scuba suits will be floating around

protecting a stash Auric Goldfinger would be pleased to own.

This was a false report put out by the National Weather Service and picked up briefly by other news people.

NWS claims not to be original source for erroneous info. Researchers have discovered a Twitter account (search "ComfortablySmug") run by GOP operative/political campaign manager Shashank Tripathi as responsible for spreading all kinds of false Sandy disaster stories last evening.

Tripathi was one of the first to tweet about flooding at NYSE last night, and he posted false info and doctored photos much of the evening.

        Tripathi has apologized.

The DA may still consider pressing charges against him.

I have a little egg on my face

The initial post was indeed based on some chatter I read.

However, the security of the Federal Gold Reserve, in that area is still a matter

          of more than passing interest.

GOLD is quite resaistant to even salt water.

No worry, I'll have it all up soon (with my trained sharks and dolphins).
Also, stocks are quite resistant. Though printed on paper, they are backed up by electronics (which, I understand, are quite vulnerable!) Thank the gods (or God, or he/is/r sister), for non-liquid places.

The gold vaults are 50 feet below sea level.

The address at 33 Liberty st. is a plain looking building.

the treasure at Oak Island has some self protecting tunnels that flood from the sea.

              i wonder if ?

If the gold reserve was not flooded it means they had some serious plans

              ahead of time.
